Dilalin Niy (ディラリン・ニヤ <Dirarin Niya>), often simply called Lin, is an alien from the planet Iaden and a major character in Magi Soldat.

Appearance
Dilalin is a young girl of extremely petite stature. She is approximately 0.33 meters (about 1 foot) tall and can be easily mistaken for a doll from a distance.[1]
She has long, vibrantly neon-blue hair and vibrant purple eyes. Her skin is noticeably pale but not to the point of albinism.
When significantly upset, her hair changes to a neon-red color. It may also take on a shimmering gold color in part or in full.
She is almost always wearing her military uniform, a seifuku-like outfit that is mostly grey with orange accents. She wears a matching headband as well. She wears thigh-high leggings with built-in soles beneath the feet.
Personality
Dilalin is a very energetic young girl. Compelled by her line of duty, she tends to get carried away with her efforts and, as such, is not above being blunt toward, shouting at, or hitting people who fail to cooperate.
When speaking Japanese, due to translation errors from her native tongue, she refers to herself as この僕 <kono boku, lit. "this me", stylized "this self">.
Biography
Magi Soldat
Dilalin travels to Earth, allegedly, for the reason of protecting it from some unknown enemy. She attempts to contact Itsumi Madoka.
Extra- and Ex-Canonical Biography
Magi Soldat Prototype & Test-type
In the original prototype and test-type drafts of Magi Soldat, Dilalin was known as Program (プログラム <Puroguramu>). She also had a slightly different hairstyle based on the hairstyle of Tsukimura Suzuka from Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha.
Dilalin had the ability to transform into a "ball of light", a form known as Photon Form. In Photon Form, Dilalin was only visible and audible to anyone with a sufficiently high psycho-exotic (magical) potential.

- Like Itsumi Madoka, Dilalin also has a love of strawberries.
- Dilalin has a penchant for sitting on people's heads.
- Inspiration for Dilalin's character came from Reinforce Zwei, another character from Mahou Shoujo Lyrical Nanoha.
- The name "Dilalin" is a portmanteau of "Dilal" --the Iali word for program or program data-- and "Lin".
- Dilalin's hair appears to change (or be capable of changing) color to red when she is upset.[2]
